Bishop Andrew’s Visit

At the start of next year we welcome Bishop Andrew Norman, the Suffragan Bishop of our Diocese in Europe, to join us here for the weekend.

On the Saturday he’ll be taking a Confirmation service at the church at 16.00 and everyone is very welcome to come along to support the candidates and join in the worship and meet the Bishop. He’ll then meet with the church council in the early evening.

On the Sunday he will preach and preside at the 11.00 Eucharist before meeting with the congregation for fika, then heading back to Brussels.

Bishop Andrew was installed as Suffragan Bishop in Europe on 2nd March 2025 at Holy Trinity Cathedral, Gibraltar and is based in Brussels where he works with the Diocesan Bishop Right Revd Dr. Robert Innes.  As Suffragan Bishop, Andrew is Chair of the Ministry Team of the diocese alongside his other responsibilities.

He was Principal of Ridley Hall, Cambridge between November 2008 and December 2016. In January 2017 he took up the post of Director of Ministry and Mission in the Diocese of Leeds.

He was educated at Ardingly College and subsequently read PPE at University College, Oxford graduating in 1984. He further attended Selwyn College, Cambridge (MA Theology, 1999) and the University of Birmingham (MPhil Missiology, 2007).
