Considering the Birds…

On Sunday mornings, from April through to August, we keep an eye and and ear open for birds in and around the Church Garden.

‘Consider the birds of the air,’ said Jesus. And so we do.

Here’s what we’ve seen/heard so far:

April:

Jackdaw, Raven, Blue Tit, Hooded Crow, Common Gull, Great Tit, Lesser Black-backed Gull, Wood-Pigeon, Goldfinch, Nuthatch, Greenfinch, House Sparrow, Stock Dove, Magpie, Blackbird, Robin, White Wagtail, Redpoll, Tree Sparrow, Barnacle Goose, Starling, Wren, Song Thrush, Cormorant, Chaffinch, Willow Warbler, Greenfinch.

May:
