Love bids us welcome

Lent 2026

Ash Wednesday Service

18 February, 19.00-20.00, Church

‘Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.’

The penitential and joyful season of Lent begins with us marking our foreheads with the dust and ashes we have in common with one another, with all creation, and with our God in Jesus Christ.

With coffee available beforehand from 18.00.

Lent Zoom Bible Study

Tuesdays from 17 February, 19.45 for 20.00

What does it mean to be alive in the way of Christ?

Join us as we read about some of the events that shaped Jesus’ life, then explore Jesus’ teachings about the Kingdom of God and learn about his new way to see the world and our lives with God, ending with parts of the Easter story, where we discover what the death and resurrection of Jesus accomplish for all God’s children.

Led by Hanna Zuring-Peterson, using chapters from the Study Guide to We Make the Road by Walking by Brian D. McLaren.

Contemplative Prayer and Compline

Weekdays and Sunday, 21.15 and 21.30-21.45, Zoom

From Thursday 19th, at 21.15 there’ll be a time of gently-guided contemplative prayer together, being still and attentive, open and awake and patient with the present moment, as we practice the presence of God.

For those who want to stay on - and for those who want to join here - this leads in at 21.30 to the Night Office of Compline, to review and hand over the day and ourselves to God’s care, as the evening draws to a close - and Holy Week draws closer.

You are welcome to come along to either or both, as and when you can, using this link:

Mini-Retreat

Saturday 28 March, 09.00-13.00, Church

With Palm Sunday the following day, we use the Saturday morning to step away from the everyday, to reflect and pray and prepare ourselves for Holy Week and Easter.

No previous experience needed, just a readiness to be open-hearted and empty-handed.
