Love bids us welcome
Harvest
in the Season of Creation
Sunday 20 September
09.30-09.50 Morning Prayer
Starting the day Godwards
A simple said service in the chancel of the church, using the psalms and silence and candles.
Quiet enough to hear the blackbird sing.
11.00-12.15 The Harvest Eucharist
Love bids us welcome
Gathering from east and west and north and south, within the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.
Bring along produce from allotments and cupboard and garden and Lidl and balcony, to offer with thanksgiving for all God’s good gifts around us.
We’ll have this year’s honey harvest decorating the church.
There’ll be harvest hymns and Pamela Henderson preaching and we’ll be celebrating together, children and grown-ups.
If you can’t get along to the church you can take part on Zoom.
With fika afterwards for everyone, up in the Hall - and our riotous
Harvest Auction!
We bring all the gifts up from the church, to be sold to the highest (or sometimes the quickest) bidders.
Come prepared to bid ridiculous amounts of money for bunches of radishes - with all of it going to the wonderful Médecins Sans Frontières.
18.00-18.45 Holy Communion
Home from home at Storkyrkan
A quiet and contemplative service in Stockholm Cathedral in Gamla Stan, led by Nick Howe, in English, with a Cathedral musician.
21.30-21.45 Compline Night Prayer
Ending as we mean to go on
Fifteen minutes of quiet and orderly prayer to set down the day and commend ourselves into God’s hands.
